These ladies really represent the University in a first class manner. I took my (then) 8 year old daughter last year to a game, and she was hooked. Very impressive group of ladies!

Looks like every one had fun -- thanks for posting the pictures --- you mentioned a guy named the Sandman a while back is that him in the Checkerboard bibs ?

The Checkerboard Bibs is another Player's Dad but is not Sandman. Sandman is a long time LV Fan (since 1956 I think he said) and attends the games on a motorized scooter in the handicap section.

Canadian Open Fastpitch International - Women's Overview

Melissa is playing in the Elite Division with the California A's in the Canada Cup June 30th - July 8th in Surrey, BC, Canada. The Team is comprised of Division 1 Athletes

The 2012 Scotiabank Canadian Open Fastpitch International Championship will be held from June 30 - July 8 in Surrey, British Columbia and will showcase some of the top female athletes in the world.

The Women's Elite Division may feature National Teams, International Club Teams, and North American Club Teams.

Teams selected into this event will have entry fees waived to compete in a minimum of seven (7) pre-scheduled games.

The 2012 Scotiabank Canadian Open Fastpitch Tournament will serve as promotional event for the sport of fastpitch. Coaches and players in the Women's category may be asked to assist with the administration of Youth Clinics and Camps, speaking to Club Team Youth Coaches and players, and in promoting the game to media.

Thanks for the pics! Im sorry yall didnt make it all the way this year, but I will be sure to follow again next year.

I'll get up there with my kid one sometime next year and we will take in a few games. She went to as many as her Rowing schedule would allow and really enjoyed it.
