| There would not be any women playing any sport at all without money given to them by the UTAD that was generated by the football program and the men's basketball program. |

| What's wrong with leaving well enough alone? The color thing I wouldn't care so much, but Lady Vols has probably made a lot of money for UT. Stupor to change it. |

| It would be a stupid move to do away with the Lady Vol logo. It generates sales in itself. If there were no seperate logo etc., people would only have to buy one thing and not two seperate ones. If Hart doesn't understand the pull and power of the Lady Vol brand name, he needs to be fired. If you want to see this program disappear into medocrity, that's a good start. |

| and they were not making one thin dime, as they gave away tickets for a long time.
The girls teams at UT should have no ussye fitting under the same tent that all others athletic teams at UT work under. |

| Because it is the University of Tennessee and the girls are no different than the men's programs. They all are Orange and White. We are not two schools. We are one school and one athletic program. |

| All I can surmise from the thread is it appears to be BS at the moment. |

| | Senior Member | I think someone on the men's side first introduced the blue, maybe Dickey. It was based on UNC. I think the men's basketball team wore some blue for a while under Ray Mears. I am basing this on what I recall reading in books, articles, etc. Those of you who saw the 70s as something other than a newborn, please correct me wherever I'm wrong here. |
