Softball defeats Tennessee State

Softball defeats Tennessee State 5-0. Ivy pitched. 2nd game was cancelled due to a rain delay in the 1st game and TSU had to get back to Nashville.

Ivy struck out 10, gave up only 2 hits. I don't believe Tn. State had a runner reach second. The Lady Vols were hitting the ball hard, but right at somebody all day. I believe it was Shipman that hit a blue darter off the wall so hard the runner at first had to stop at second it came back so fast. Looked like pinball.

On Edit....the runner did go from first to third...but it was a liner that if not hit so hard was a stand-up double but ended up just a single.

Hey is Whitney Hammond still playing and if so how is she doing. Use to be their neighbors. She spent the the night with my girls all the time. Just lost contact wondering how she is doing in softball.
