| Pat, the only situation you couldn't surpass in your life is your own self and this dreadful illness. All in all you led the way for everyone else...and you were even there to try and help them catch up to you. All of us, and especially Tennesseeans, have lost our guiding star.
Very best of luck and good wishes to Holly Warlick, another Tennesseean. Holly was groomed by the best there ever was. I can't think of anyone anywhere who would give as much effort for the success of Tennessee Lady Vol basketball or anyone more loyal and dedicated to Tennessee than Holly. Holly is all Orange.

Best of luck to Pat. One of a kind is to put it mildly.
Best of luck to the Lady Vols. I am sure Holly has there best interests in mind and is all-Vol so to speak, but it'll take more than want-to. |

| Eh, its sad a little I guess, but its a great outcome for both Pat and the Program imo. Recruits know the situation now, they know The Great Pat Summit will still be there as a mentor and psuedo-coach. The program gets to move on, Summit gets to keep an influence in the program through recruiting and mentoring....
Like its been said...we knew it was coming, and imo this is an awesome outcome.
(Obviously I acknowledge that Summit loves coaching, and thats tough to give up her team...and sad, but...) |

| Sad day for the Vols family. Through all the changes in men's football and basketball, we knew we always had a team to root for in the Lady Vols, a team successful both on and off the court. You could count on Pat and her teams to compete at the highest level, year in and year out. You knew she was doing right by her players and that they represented UT the right way.
Good luck to Holly as she steps into the shadow of the greatest coach of all time. If anyone is up to the task, it is Holly Warlick. |

I guess I was still holding out hope that she would be able to coach at least one more year. Maybe get one more NC. |

| Not a happy day. Proud to have been a Vol fan alive in Pat Summitt era. Not happy about who the replacement but still will back the Lady Vols brand that Pat built. |

And welcome to mediocrity with Holly. Worst possible outcome.
