No and he__ no to Matthew Mitchell. If the refs don't let his teams foul the crap out of the other team, then he gets blown out. He had no answer in the tourney and looked lost on the sideline when the officials wouldn't let KY beat the other team to death.

If the job isn't given to Holly then it has to be offered to Niki in my opinion. Niki coached her rear end off during the tourney. LSU got better with each game. Niki did a great job with the talent she had to put on the floor. I have been critical of Holly and the job she has been doing this year, but during the tourney she took charge and did a great job of coaching. She was more active than I had ever seen and chewing on the officials at the appropriate time. I'm O.K. with Holly, but I would prefer Niki because I think she will be able to recruit better than Holly.

I don't think Kellie Jolly Harper is quite ready to step up to a job like UT. Mulkey would be a good fit I think but with a contract until 2017 for a million a year, I doubt she is going anywhere. It's going to be interesting to see what happens.

I think at the level that the Lady Vols play at, she would do better as an assistant, but she's definitely got what it takes to be on a coaching staff.

Agree 100% that we CANNOT hire from w/in our staff of assistants!! There is a reason that they haven't gotten any serious consideration for a HC position. I am afraid that if we do, then we will see our Lady Vol program take step back. Hiring Nikki or Matthew will allow us to continue being who we are, I believe. Also, don't be surprised if Hart goes after a big name coach that is having great success at another program, like Mulkey. And I am not being sarcastic! Remember the Lady Vol HC position is really THE premier job in women's basketball. Why? 2 words...Pat Summitt!! ANYONE,except Auriemma, would love to try to fill Coach Summitt's shoes and continue the tradition that she established. The cupboard is always full with talent...UT will always sell itself, because of what Coach Summitt has done here.

She is the head coach at N.C. State and has had a medium amount of success. She's not been near as successful as Niki in my opinion. Niki has proven she is capable and ready to lead.

would anyone be in favor of Kara Lawson, I know she does well at ESPN with analysis but she would continue on the legacy within the Summit.

Think Nikki would be willing to try to fill Pat's shoes?

I think that is why she is at LSU right now. To gain the SEC HC experience needed. She has the creditials to be here and it would be the right move. Think that Pat is here as long as she can be. Pray that she gets her 40 years and 1150+ wins. She deserves it. Niki Caldwell should be the future choice for this program.

We were afraid she would go into labor during the game. I guess this baby has some discipline and decided to wait to get back home. LOL...

That is exactly what I thought when she took the job at LSU.

Agreed. I would take Mitchell over Caldwell. But would be happy with either.

No one on staff is worthy of leading this team. It's painfully obvious. Niki would be an excellent choice the more I think about it.
