It worked out for Tennessee High this year...SHHS could make it happen. Either way it should be a good game.

hope so, it's also the last game at Steve Spurrier field/Memorial Stadium. Wouldn't be a better way to close her down than a win over the tribe...

I'd heard about it when I was home in early September. I'm an EHS grad of '66. Have been to 2-3 games in the current stadium. I'd heard they were going to build a stadium near the campus of SHHS.

the game was another memorial game to close up Memorial Stadium with the traditional result, Science Hill on the Losing end, 24 - 10. The game was tied at 10 with about 5 min. left when DB went up 17-10 with a TD. On Science Hills's ensuing possesion, Justin Snyder threw an int on a 3 and short screen that was returned for a TD to put it out of reach.

It was a well played game with the Two SH turnovers being the deciding factor. The afforementioned pick and a fumble in the first half with SH driving deep in DB territory which cost SH a chance to go up 14-3.

Here's hoping this is one tradition that is buried with the old memorial stadium.....

Being an ETSU student, I'd love to see football return. But until the adminstration commits to bringing football back, it's pointless to build a new stadium for them. Johnson City had already budgeted $5 million for upgrades to Memorial Stadium, but discovered they would be able to build a new stadium on campus with those funds for several reasons. One being lack of locker facilities. Locker facilities have been shared with the Johnson City Cardinals who play at adjacent Howard Johnson field. There have several occasions where visting have had to arrived fully dressed for the game becase they wouldn't have a place to do it at the field.
