Oakland @ Ooltewah

Does anybody know anything about Oakland? I know Ooltewah is good, they bear Farragut twice this year.

I am going to be at this game and was wondering what to expect from Oakland.

BTW, where is Oakland High school?

I heard Oakland sets up in I formation and runs downhill. They have a great defense just like the Owls so this should be a great game. Home field advantage is huge for this game. Hopefully it won't be as cold the day after Thanksgiving. Go Owls!

Wow. Going to be an interesting game then - Ooltewah has the best front 4 in the state anchored by J. Smith and Que Jackson... very smart LBs and two of the fastest players in the state in Sammy Seamster and Myricks. Both are track stars and Seamster is going to play football and run track at MTSU next year.

Ooltewah has basically no real passing game and just relies on Matthew Polk to pound the ball behind their O-line. Usually not that great until the big guys wear down the opponents D-line in the second half.

So two of the same teams that are basically the same I'm guessing. Will come down to turnovers just like the Farragut game. I think Ooltewah's defense is a bit stronger as well and they get home field.

Oakland has the best d line in the state and an excellent o/l. The way you beat Oakland is have a qb that can pass and keep the pressure off of the run. The d line is fast and the d line is big. Go to the game and you'll see. They have a running back named Precious Valentine, you'll be hearing his name a lot. They have a qb (#12 maybe) who passes normally and a qb (# 5 maybe) who lines up shot gun and runs everytime. Hard to stop with their line.

I went to Oakland in '04 and went to most of their games. And had been to some of their games before then. Back then they stunk. Only winning 2-3 games a season. I'm really glad to see them on top after being at the bottom for so long. Hopefully they can win the Championship this year. It would mean a lot to the school and football program.

GO PATS!!!

They do not have the best O-line in the state. You obviously have not seen Jacquez Smith and Que Jackson this year. Relentless. Everytime someone drops back to pass you should expect a sack or atleast a QB pressure. Farragut had -2 rushing yards last week and 2 first downs the whole game. 70ish total yards and 25 came on the last play of the game.

Owls killing themselves with TOs. Fumble just returned for a TD and are down 14-0 now. Sad - Ooltewah is better than this but they're self-destructing on offense and giving the Patriots points.

Owls offense probably can't score enough to come back.

Ouch - horrible punt return coverage and TOs lead to a blowout. Owls would have of had a good shoot to reach the title game without some of these mental errors. Offense is crap as usual though. Oakland should win it all.

I said Ooltewah is "probably" the better team without these mental errors - which was inaccurate and I'm willing to admit that. That's when the score was 14-0... and the 14 points were handed to Oakland on a silver platter.

Oakland is obviously better - just not 35 points better. Seriously - how about you go to the game instead of being a troll? What are you trying to accomplish? I understand you're a Smyrna homer and you're offended that I said Ooltewah would beat Smyrna. Big deal - its just my opinion - don't sweat it. You weren't at the game and didn't see what happened.
