It's only 'idiotic' to you because you're a blind homer who is insulted by anyone who says Smyrna is anything short of godlike. Stop being an idiot and stop flaming.

| i could care less, but you haven't proven anything about smyrna being lucky. They'll make it a good game and could win it you would take your i-refuse-to-take-anything-about-smyrna-seriously goggles off you would see that. |

| Smyrna's team is dominated by 2 players. Any real team will beat them. We "should" see Bearden beat Smyrna fairly easily unless Wilkes is just unreal in this game. It's really there only hope.
My point was they haven't exactly rolled the competition this year and have 3 losses. They also have lucked out with Riverdale getting beat. That game wasn't as close as the score was. Was a blowout as far as I'm concerned and Riverdale got too passive. |

Wilson blew out Riverdale and Smyrna took care of them. I'll be in Knoxville Friday night and then off to Atlanta, but I can't wait for Sunday/Monday to revisit this thread and see you eating crow. Smyrna will make this a really good game. |

Sure come back to this thread - I could care less... everyone's wrong on multiple occasions and I have no dog in this race so it really doesn't make difference to me who wins. I'm calling it like I see it. Your not going to hurt my feelings and make me cry if you do come back to this thread and Smyrna pulls it out. Smyrna won't win unless Mr. Wilkes has an amazing game, which is possible and I'm not denying that. |

| i was wrong. I thought i had read they won that game. Either way, they are there and have a good chance. wilks alone gives smyrna a chance. |

| I agree on Wilks - that's why I won't be surprised if they managed to win in a squeaker. But if I were a betting man - I'd be putting my money on Bearden because they're a more complete team imo. |

| You got to understand that the distric smyrna plays in is so tough top to bottom. I think the toughest in the state. Blackman which finished last won 4 games this yr all to teams that made it to the playoffs. One of the teams being lincoln co. which won their district. |

| By the way bassdude I'm not really a smyrna homer I actully follow blackman the most because my sons a senior there, I also have players that play for riverdale , lavergne, blackman and seagle so I try to watch them all as much as possible. Sometimes I go to 2 games a night. |

| I like who bassmanbruno was picking Bearden to get upset in the first round on a seperate thread. Then on here he says they are unbeatable. Shows that his insight is spot on. |

| smyrna is by no means a two man team. they have five very good recievers, rod is just on a different level. they have a stud rb and he's only a freshman. you'll be seeing him recruited by big time schools soon. smyrna has played good competiton earlier this year (played within 3 pts of d2 runner up brentwood academy without stud qb sonny grey and had a lead on riverdale in the fourth quarter and let it get away.) bearden has a fierce d, but the d lines of BA and riverdale were regarded as two of the top in the whole state.
experienced, battle tested, and at home vs. first time this deep in the playoffs, also played in a tough region, on the road.
smyrna in a close, very hard fought battle. |
