“It’s incredibly difficult to do this,” Alcoa defensive coordinator Brian Nix told The Daily Times. “But the kids that we have around this program make it less difficult. Our kids buy into this program, our community buys into this program, our administration buys into this program. We just have so much support.”

Expectations are simply higher for Alcoa and the Tornadoes wouldn’t want to have it any other way.

“I’ve been here too long and I wouldn’t know anything different,” Nix said. “That’s what you want because when people expect that, they also provide you with resources and support to do that. Then you get kids who expect that.”
