Elizabethton High Cyclones beat Sullivan East 43-38 to advance to next round!

Wow. Betsy automatically advances to the Sectionals. :good!: They will host a 1st round Sectional game if they win the Championship game of the Class 1AA Regionals. East is out now & I expected them to go further than Betsy.

I may go to the Championship game. I have other family that's going anyhow because my niece teaches at TA Dugger & her husband is Assistant Director of Elizabethton City Schools & assistant basketball coach as well for Betsy. Thursday night they will be playing for home court advantage basically.

Edit: TennFan, I believe you have the score backwards. My sources have it East beating Betsy 43-38. I would rather you be the one right but doesn't appear that way.

Check the PDF links in the 1st post for next game matchups. Use the very first link in the 1st post from Coacht.com(starts with Scoreboard) to get the scores from tonight's games. Just go to Feb. 28th date instead of the link which is for Feb. 25th. Thanks.

Nevermind, here's an updated link to the scores: Scoreboard :: Tennessee High School Sports

Knox Fulton who was favored to win the state in AA bit the dust tonight vs CAK & lost 47-53. There hopes & dreams for another state title are gone. CAK was 16-14 & Fulton was 24-4. A big upset even though CAK plays a tough schedule.

Oak Ridge(27-2) skimmed by Maryville(24-5) in their 3rd meeting this season by a score of 46-43.

Cleveland(25-4) in 3AAA was upset by Walker Valley(19-11) 51-58.

East Hamilton(22-10) in 3AAA upset White County(25-6) by a score of 57-52.

Huntland(12-16) in 5A upset LEAD Academy(25-5) by a score of 63-62.

Community(15-17) in another 5A game upset Middle Tennessee Christian(25-5) by a score of 59-56.

Fayette Ware(21-9) in 7AA pulled off a huge upset against Dyersburg(26-2) by a score of 58-55.

The records may make it look so but I wouldn't call Fayette Ware's win over Dyersburg a "huge upset." FW's district is much stronger and they beat Jackson SS in the District finals a week earlier.

Thanks for the work you put into this. Great time of year for high school sports.

You're very welcome. I know what you mean about playing in tougher districts/conferences. I just thought Dyersburg at 26-2 for a pretty big school to go down this early by a team with near 10 losses would be called a "huge upset".

Let's just say it was an upset then. Regional finals/Championship games are tomorrow night. Going to be interesting because all these games are for home court advantage in the Sectionals. Thanks.

A lot of Regional girls games were canceled today because of the weather. Looks like the boys games will be pushed back to Friday night. That's not confirmed yet because they might try to get both boys & girls game in tomorrow but that will be difficult. I will update when & if I find out. Should be some sort of confirmation by later tonight. Thanks.

Edit: Turns out only Region 1 games were affected by the weather. Other Regions are playing their games. I don't know how this will effect Region 1 games for tomorrow. I'd say they will try to get both boys & girls games in tomorrow to keep up with the rest of the other Regions schedule.
