| Obviously you are a mentor to the kids you coach when you are dealing with HS kids, but if you're not coaching with the ultimate goal of winning, you're not much of a coach, imo. |

HS coaches in plenty of places are gauged by their win/loss ratio. How is that a bad thing?
Outstanding students and a winning product on the field are not mutually exclusive like you are implying. |

The fact is there had been one poster that said repeatedly that wins and losses being considered when judging a high coach "is sad". The only thing that's sad is now you are changing your stance and admitting that winning games is more important than just getting that little green ribbon that means "thanks for playing".
