Here's a story on him from last year: Stanford motivated by family members he's lost » Knoxville News Sentinel

I played in a couple pick-up games with him when we were both in middle school. Really funny guy, and he could flat out play.

Man I remember when the little girl was shot by being in wrong spot when those losers shot up lonsdale homes. A whole family wiped out within a few years. Terrible.

It just shows how lucky most of us are. Many people underestimate the blessings they have and only focus on the cons of life. Gotta feel sorry for the kid and everything he endured. Just goes to show you, no matter how bad you think you have it, somebody always has it worse.
