In the first poll from Baseball America, only team from TN in the poll. Have a couple of HUGE games this year, should be very exciting. They are scheduled to play teams from OH, NC, and AL.

First against Forsyth Country Day School who has 5 D-1 signees (all signed with MAJOR schools). Next is against Science Hill on April 30th. Article says there could be 100+ scouts on hand to watch Pfeifer and Norris duel. Also called the "best game on the east coast all year."

Nice to have a program with as much tradition and national recognition as Farragut in TN, considering we never get much attention elsewhere other than for BBQ's.

Forsyth Country Day @ Farragut High, Knoxville, April 9

Forsyth has an ambitious schedule for 2011. The Furies will face Dillon Maples on Opening Day and get Florida Christian a couple weeks later. Then they'll head to Arizona for the Big Leage Dugout National Invitational and return to face No. 2 Farragut's lefthander Philip Pfeifer and catcher Nicky Delmonico just a few days later.

Farragut High vs. Science Hill High, Johnson City, Tenn., April 30

Each year there is a game that could be considered the mother of all, where the number of scouts in attendance approaches, if not breaks, triple digits. Broken Arrow and Owasso's games are a candidate to do that, but this game could be just as good. Both coaches have said publicly that their aces will start, which means Science Hill lefthander Daniel Norris and Farragut's Pfeifer will toe the rubber. Add Delmonico to the mix and this should be the best game on the East Coast.

Any chance Nicky comes to UT given what Hammy did to CRD? Also what about Norris and Pfeifer heading to the hill? Obviously pro scouts are going to be there to evaluate their pro potential but the question still stands.

I'll probably get bashed for bringing up soccer... but East and Middle Tennessee put out some damn good soccer teams. There are top 10 nationally ranked teams every year, including Farragut.

But your right, it is nice to see some recognition for the Tennessee teams in other sports too!

Delmonico is already committed to UGA. No chance. Pfeifer is going to Vandy. And Norris will go pro, but is committed to Clemson.

If you're talking soccer, at least in the past, Christian Brothers was #1 national for 3 straight years

Watched Pheifer pitch against Maryville when he was a freshman. He was freaking awesome then. He struck out like 12 batters in a row.

I'm making a 3 hour drive after a final exam to see this game. Who else will be there?

I wish Raleigh would pluck all these Farragut boys with the D-1 talent. One would think it'd be easy to do
