| It's a shame they have to play each other now. TSSAA really screwed up the brackets. |

| MARY ville is the Boise of the state. If they played more than 2 good teams a year we might agree with you.
Blackman, Oakland, Riverdale and smyrna along with Brentwwod, Mt. Juliet and Independence have all been ranked in the top 10 at some point this year. Did MARY VILLE play any of these schools? The answer is NO NO NO NO nO and lost to the mighty lower division Alcoa. Please take some advise and GTFO... GBO
Maryville may very well win it, but we all know they wont really win it....
Oakland Played: Ensworth-Brentwood-Smyrna-Blackman-Riverdale all of which are now in the 3rd round of the playoffs and was 3-2 against them. Has Maryville played anyone other than Alcoa still left....????? (Alcoa) not 6A by the way...

Or are you one of those that things "bigger is always better". Besides for 10 years all the "big boys" of 5a talked about what would happen if Maryville would move up. Well guess what, last year they moved up with the big boys and STILL went to the state championship game. What excuses will we come up with next? Oh yea, they dont play private schools orrrrrrr teams in Florida...Yea thats it. |

If Maryville is to beat one of the Middle Tennessee powers then I don't see how you can say they didn't really win it, if these teams are so good. |

| And yes Maryville played Oak Ridge and Bearden and both are still in the 6A playoffs. They also played Knox West and they are still left in the 5A playoffs.

Who did they(Maryville) lose to last year in there first year in the 6A Champ?
Will they be playing Bearden or Oak Ridge in the 3rd round?
And are Smyrna and Blackman both ranked in the top 5 in the state?
And are they playing in the 3rd round loke Smyrna and blackman.?
If you can see your way to answering these SIMPLE questions, then you may see the point to this post. GBO

| By the way, Knox West would be under .500 in district 7AAA easily. Please be serious...
As you notice. No 5A teams other than Alcoa were mentioned in any post but yours. And yes, I am aware of how good Alcoa is and has been. This post was and is about the 6A Championship..

| I was simply answering the question. You asked if Maryville had played anybody still left and each of the three teams I mentioned are still left, and yes Maryville is playing Bearden this week in the Third Round of the playoffs. |
