Cool

Which do you guys prefer on the weekends?? Saturday or Sunday?

I love both (maybe Sundays a little more), but there are definitely some things better about the college game than the pro. And vice versa.

For example:
Good--------
NCAA: huge fan base; electric atmosphere; fans rushing the field; biggest rivalries; battle of the conferences; band fight songs; more big plays on suspect defenses

NFL: has superior compeition and parity; most games are close and usually down to the wire; ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN; playoff system determines "true" champion; stricter rules makes for more acrobatic plays; EVERYBODY IS GOOD (if you dont come to play you can lose); can watch teammates develop good relationships because they play together longer

Bad--------
NCAA: lack of good competition from week to week=too many blowouts (SE Missouri St. versus Texas); lopsided distribution of talent; BCS and "disputed" champs every year; superior talent usually wins out; celebration penalties; guys leaving early for the $$; heisman trophy bias

NFL: whiny players over contracts; fan base doesn't compare to NCAA; too many challenges slow game; players and free agency; players holding out for bigger contracts; defenses are so good that game is uneventful sometimes

That's my two cents.... what about the rest of you??

NCAA on Saturdays is far superior. Especially if I'm watching on TV. Atmosphere is just too good.

I go to both Jaguars and Gators games...and there's really no comparison between the two. The college game is hands down the best out of the two for me, but I still love the NFL as well.

I agree with most of those, but the great thing about college, that if Se Missouri is playing Texas this weekend, you know it's going to be a blow out. So all you need to do is change the channel to one of he possible 5 other games being televised during that time slot. Unless you get the NFL package, there is never more then two

College because of all the great games every Saturday.

Pros because there is no arguement at seasons end as to who is champion.

I just love it all!!!

UF still plays 3 more top 7 teams..not to mention Bama at 15 so it is possible...but I like what I saw in Meyer for that UT game...he beat the best coach in the league at his own game...that is a sign of a great coach.

Have you watched the HD game, then changed it back to the same game on normal TV? It's crazy, the difference it amazing.

Saturdays are holy, however, the NFL has been somewhat more enjoyable for me this year.

Definitely Saturdays.

That's not to say I don't enjoy the heck out of the NFL, but to me there's nothing better than watching college ball from 11 in the morning to about 11 at night.. Games, and usually a few good ones, on every weekend.
