I know that memphis has alot of talent coming in this year and next, but its the worst possible college experience you can have. Its a over grown juco. Tiger High is its nickname for a reason.

Coach Cal's NBA connections probably trump any shortcomings UMemphis has in the way of campus life. Players like Young aren't looking at it as a four year commitment, but a short stop on the way to the League. They all figure if they want a real "college experience" they can go wherever they want after their playing days or during the summer, a la KG.

Thaddeus, Listen to your daddy. If you stick around town your going to be distracted by all the homies who just want to get into your pockets. Get away, this is to important to your career to blow. You may say you can stay away from the homies but if you do that you will just make them enemies. Common $ence= get out of Memphis!

If he takes your advice, I hope he stuns everyone and picks GTech. I certainly don't like the idea of him at UK or UARK.
