| I think its fine...As long as he's still putting up Championship banners I don't see them calling for his head....14 in a row is pretty impressive

| i think Cox did a masterful job this year, especially with all the injuries and rookies..I'm so glad that A Jones stepped it up...I think they were very lucky to win the division and 90 games..Theres no way you can be callin for Cox's head.

[b]Do you think Braves fans are calling for Bobby Cox's head? It has to get old with 14 straight division titles and only one championship.
Or do you think they feel like this team over achieved and was lucky to be there? | I heard this point discussed on the George Sedono with Karen Kay...he said its great that the Braves have owned the division with so many banners since 1990, but they cant be called a great team because they only won it all once. And went on to say that theyd trade all those conference titles for 2-3 WS wins. |

[b]THe only way the Braves don't have COx as a coach, is when he retires..They will never fire him.. | I wouldn't fire him. Just have to remember what they were like before he came along. Will never forget the "worst to first" year. Most enjoyable year of baseball I ever went through. |

| Cox will be the coach of the Braves until he retires. He's had a good nucleus there at times. Quality starting pitching over a decade with Smoltz, Glavine and Maddox. I think the Braves got rid of Maddox and Glavine at the right time. They haven't had the quality seasons they had in the past. Smoltz could have been a 20 game winner this year with a little luck. The bullpen either gave up the tying runs or lost the game after John was leading in the 7th or 8th. I think John had 6 or 7 "no decisions." Andruw Jones should get MVP "hands down" -he has 51 HR's and over 128 RBI's. If Chipper could have been healthy, I think the Braves may have won 10 more games. The rookies have done a FANTASTIC job this season and the "old man" at first base has done a decent job too. I just hope they get Furcal back. :cross: :good:
If the Braves can put together a better bullpen and have good pictching next season, look for another title. Their toughest opposition in the division, I still think is either the Phillies or Marlins. Look for the Cards to be there again next season.
