It wasn't a TD. A kid on his deathbead asked Weis to make a pass to the right on Notre Dame's first play (I think it was against Washington). The Domers got the ball on their own one to start the game, but they ran the play anyways.

The kid passed away the day before the game I believe.

Pretty gutsy of Weiss to run that play from his own one yard line.

Yeah, thats the story. I read it after the game, but didnt remember details. Roll right pass and Joe, is what i remembered being the requests from the child. Thats GREAT stuff, Weis could have blown it off and called it business. :post-20645-1119625378:
