Well, considering there isn't a set place to discuss soccer on this forum, I(with a little idea from a Mr. ptclaus) decided to make a soccer thread. Any league, club, international team, international cup or league is welcome to be discussed here.

Oh, and one more thing......................

I watch the MLS whenever it's on ESPN2. I just wish they showed it a little more often. I have a good friend from my childhood who is the starting keeper for Columbus (William Hesmer). He was a year younger, but played up and we were on the same traveling team together before high school.
I've been in contact with him, and I plan to go see a match up there soon. Has anyone on here been to an MLS match? The highest level of live soccer I've ever actually been to was the ACC tournament when I was a kid.

Mine's a little lower than that; South-Doyle HS soccer is the highest I've ever been to.

I'm a Bayern Munich fan. I like watching the Bundesliga. I watch the games via a German channel I subribe to on Dishnetwork. New coach and a new season starting soon.

Nick, what are you thinking about Eto'o? I'm hoping we sell him. It has gotten completely out of control with him. Plus, we will just sign Villa with the money we get back.

If he's unhappy at Barca now, then by all means, sell him to Man City. I don't want a player that's unmotivated.

But it would sadden me to see him go. He's one of the reasons I started watching Barca. But if they get Villa, man that's almost an upgrade. Almost.

This is assuming everything I've read and heard is true. And well, you know how that is.

Wow! You can at least come to a Maryville game with me next year and sit in the press box. I do the PA for them and I can tell you that the crowds are slightly impressive whenever they play Oak Ridge, Farragut, or Knox West.
