The fact that anyone would pull for another country over the USA in any situation (sports, debate, anything) is more than depressing.

It's not pulling for another country over the US (at least not for me). I still want the US to win every game and would cheer for them over England, but still say that I'm an England fan. Your homerism is what's depressing. Its the most international sport in the world get it over it.

Oh. In the most international sport it is ok to cheer for someone else as an American.

Makes total sense.

I don't mind if someone wants to cheer for another team. However, if your reasoning is that the US isn't good enough to win the cup, I don't see why you would cheer for another team that isn't good enough to win.

I believe we had this conversation a couple months ago.

And my reasoning wasn't based wholly on the US not being good enough, it was about being a premier league fan in general, having family play club football in England, living there for a year, etc.

My mistake then.

I wouldn't be surprised if they start showing a lot more Premier League games on US television in the near future. If that's the case, I need to pick a club to root for.

I'd never pull for another country over the United States. That said, Germany is my favorite to watch outside the USA. So consistent and fun to watch.

Agree regarding Sunderland, but I'm still nervous for Everton since I could see them wanting to beat us strictly as a consolation for losing last weekend.

I tend to go for whoever has the most prominent American, so Fulham for me right now. They're having a so-so year.

All 9 games of the last day of the season will be televised in the US. None of that tape delay stuff either. Espn, fox, fx, fox soccer, trutv, and a few others, all the games will be on different channels.

The only thing that cracks me up is saying you go for England, but managing to miss the fact that Joe Hart isn't decent...... He is going to be their keeper for the next 10 years most likely. He is incredible, even as much as I hate to admit it.

They could win a major tournament if they just managed to put the team together in the right way. They need to get the old guard out because they do not play well together.

Hart
Richards, Jones, Cahill, Cole/Baines
Parker, Wilshere
Rooney
Walcott, Bent/Welbeck, Ox/Young

That team to me should win games, but they still usually manage to screw it up.
