The 109th United States Open Championship

Official Website

Just a week away now!

The last time at The Black was one of my all time favorite Opens. With the infusion of new talent that rose up in Tiger's absence, this 2009 version should be every bit as good...

Reminder, Mickelson presser is today at 1Eastern on GC..

I'm not going to lie, the only reason I remotely pay any attention to golf is because of Eldrick.

I bet it never plays that far. Its still ridiculous, though. Tone the ball back or something.

I'd be praying for downhill and downwind and a green roughly the size of Rhode Island.

Thats Driver/3 iron for most. Maybe hybrid on 2nd shot for a lesser player on the tour. The field has caught Tiger in length of drive. There are far more in the bombers class today than when he first started.

Well said Bill. After further review, #4 will be where I would post up shop if had tickets. That little gem will be a round killer on the front nine. Par 5, 517 yards, more bunkers than Omaha beach, trouble right most of the way down, and a green the size of a VW bug. Those guys better bruch up on their sandwedge.
