Braves will win the NL East but have to beat the St. Louis Cardinals in order to go the the World Series and that's a big obstacle. Braves should have taken 2 out of 3 of the last series. Losing in the bottom of the 9th on a Grand Slam just didn't cut it in the final game.

I've never cared if the braves do good in the playoffs. What do you think tells more about a team...5 or 6 games in a lousy series or 162 games??
After dominating for 162 games, I wouldn't even show up for the playoffs.

Do people forget that the braves have won a world series during the Cox era?? and the fact that they have won the NL 3 or 4 times???

Well too bad, no matter how you slice it, the playoffs are more important than the regular season. Period. It's all about the league champs and the World Series over all.

The Braves should have more to show than just five World Series appearances and just one Series win for all those division titles.

The Braves run, as incredible as it has been, has had some cases of bad timing when it comes to winning the World Series. They seem to have a knack for running up against opposing players having the performance of their lives - Jack Morris in the 1991 World Series, Jim Friggin' Leyritz in the 96 WS, Livan Hernandez with Eric Gregg's 2 foot wide strike zone in the 97 NLCS etc . . .

And Jmx, you don't think one World Series title in how ever many odd playoff appearances they've had rests a little on the side of underacheivement?
