If Jr. does leave DEI, which I doubt because that'd be like leaving everything his Daddy left him with, he will and race for RCR where his Dad races and will be #3 Budweiser car.

But as far as leaving DEI, I don't think it will happen within the next couple of years but in the future it could possibly happen

Jr will stay. It doesn't make much sense for him to leave anyway. I know that he has a new crew etc, but part of the problem this year is he doesn't have his head in it. Something is distracting him and wouldn't doubt it one bit if it was a woman..

NASCAR as I have always known it is slowly fading. The new "entity" is a team thing that overemphasizes the sponsors and teams as opposed to good, hard, butt-kicking racing by individual drivers and their crews.

Jr. had a few more disses for DEI today after his crash. I don't think he'll leave DEI anytime soon, but I can say I think one more bad race and he's history for the Chase.

Another good day for Jeff Gordon, just like the the one's he's had in the last couple of weeks and he'll not make it either.....Daytona is coming up next weekend and he'll be on his game for that and then he'll get it going....I'm not too worried about it right now...All it is, is a simple case of Jr. may not wanna drive for DEI anymore.....He's been quoted as wanting to run the 3 car before he retires and he may be leaving after 2007 to do that.

Sorry about the double post but here is a story I found that is about what I was saying....

Richard Childress does not see Dale Earnhardt Jr. leaving Dale Earnhardt Inc., after the season, but if that happens, his door is open. “Junior has his own deal working good at DEI, and I hope it all works out for him,” said Childress, who won six Nextel Cup championship with the late Dale Earnhardt. “I think it will (work out), ’cause it’s a really good organization. I also would say if he ever left there, I’d sure hope he’d come this way. I know what Dale Sr.’s vision and dream was with DEI,” Childress said. “It was to build that operation for Dale Jr., (sister) Kelly and his family. Dale Jr. has done a great job of representing DEI and what they want to do, so it’s a good deal.”(The State)(6-24-2005)

As the only man alive who could carry "3" on his door panels with public approval and indeed celebration, and with his Bud sponsorship willing to follow him wherever he goes, it would seem he could pick up the phone and virtually be there. "Right," he confirmed. "Yeah. Richard and I haven't really sat down at a desk to talk about it, but he owns the number '3' and I want to drive the No. 3 race car before I retire. I've told Richard I want to finish my career in his race car, or in a No. 3 car if he and Teresa [Earnhardt] can come to some agreement or whatever." He means a transfer of ownership of the number. His stepmother, Dale's widow Teresa, owns Dale Earnhardt Inc. and has the ultimate say, although Richie Gilmore runs the company for her.
