UCF player Ereck Plancher dies after conditioning drills

I have also heard through the local media that coach O'leary refuses to talk to the Orlando Sentenal because he disapproves of their handling of the story. Four UCF players told the OS that Ereck was physically drained and looked bad.

Sad. This sort of thing seems to be an annual occurrence. IMO schools need to start being better about having medical staff on hand for summer drills, especially in states like Florida, Texas and Arizona.

That or starting sports programs for trainers to notice when players have had enough.

From experience I can tell you coaches and trainers do not like each, other at all.

It couldn't hurt, but this kid died in March. In fact, I think it was even in an indoor air conditioned practice facility.
