How about Kenny Perry ?

Is he hot right now or what ? At age 47 the guy is winning tournaments at a breakneck pace, winning boatloads of cash and achieved his goal of securing a slot for the Red White and Blue in the upcoming Ryder Cup being played in his home state of Kentucky no less. Age 47 and he is at the top of his game, good for him, gives some hope to the rest of us 40 something hackers.

This weekend's better story... How about Rick Price, 40 year old struggling in Nationwide instantly vaults himself into the main tour for the first time since 1991.

Talk about a victory for the old guys...

I don't usually watch much Nationwide, but did for quite a while on Sunday. The final group took 25 minutes to play number nine. Hope that's not what those guys are learning down there...

easy there. It's not just the 5 wood thread. There have been some very interesting days over there.

you're right, but it can also be pretty brutal when the best golfer in a 50 mile radius is spouting off with his mouth.

i'm probably more interested in what's going on with these guys than i am with the Tour. i generally watch when it's on TV.

i love that's it is full of guys who are either young and trying to work their way up to the tour or older fellows who are hanging on for one last try before they turn into working slobs like the rest of us.

if you didn't get chills watching that Price interview yesterday after he won than you have no heart.

I'm happy for Perry, as he's a home-state guy and seems to be a fairly nice fellow. I'm not sure the Deere is that big of an accomplishment for a player of his rank, though, as he was one of about 5 people who's names I knew in the field. I'll have to admit that it was strangely interesting watching his two opponents blow up in the playoff, though.

One other note--I was watching the end in a sports bar, and I never really figured out the exemption to the British. Who got it?

Actually, good question. Don't recall. Whichever of the two chokers shot the lowest score for the day. Think it was probably the rook.
