| Phil goes 79 and is just midway down the board. This is going to be a wild ride. |

Ernie... well I'll always be pullin for Ernie. Love his attitude.

Mickelchoke has no chance, IMO. BPV's observation about him having trouble in wind and rain (and deep and stringy rough since he can't hit the ball straight with anything over a 6 iron) will always be his downfall.
Incidentally, will someone please politely tap him on the shoulder and explain that he's always standing on the wrong side of the ball? |

That being said, I don't think the British suits his game very well.
As to your other comment, I'm right handed, but about once a year I wonder if Phil might be correct, and I'm actually the one on the wrong side of the ball. |

The guy has won just about everything he can win and been in contention for all of the others, except the British.
Choking would imply that his game isn't erratic all of the time, which it is. I don't really know how you can say he can't hit anything longer than a 6 straight, yet call his 18th hole US Open disaster anything but expected. |

| Though I confess I'm limiting that to some particular instances. And also that my comment about anything over a 6 iron was a bit of hyperbole for effect. |

Bottom line, the guy hits some unbelievable short game shots under intense pressure, which says he does anything but choke. Sure, his long game is erratic, but it's that way even without the pressure cooker on. |

| I am pumped about the way Norman is playing. Not much of a shot to win, but making the cut and playing the weekend will be quite the accomplishment considering he plays in about 4 tournaments a year.
Tom Watson will make the cut as well. My favorite player of all time is unbelievably comfortable in the rainy and windy conditions. Plus he is a links golf expert
Calling Mickelson a choker is quite funny actually. Defer to the other comments on the absurdity of it. Sergio is CHOKER deluxe if there ever has been one. A big baby too. He WILL NOT win this weekend. You can write that one down |
