A testicular "fracture"?

Scout.com: Injuries Open the Door for Connor Robertson

Quote:
Outfielder Eric Byrnes and catcher Chris Snyder were both placed on the 15-day disabled list Tuesday, and right-hander Micah Owings will miss his scheduled start Wednesday due to back pain. Byrnes injured his left hamstring in the second inning Monday attempting to steal third base. Byrnes' hamstring is torn, and it is unknown when he will be back.

"It's going to be a while," manager Bob Melvin said.

Snyder was diagnosed with a testicular fracture after being struck by a foul ball two innings later and will require surgery. "We're hopefully looking at the 15-day period where he's back after the All-Star break," Melvin said of Snyder.

thanks i appreciate it. i think the doc gets a kick out of freaking ppl out. after they did the tests, the first thing he said was "you do realize that you are in the age group for testicular cancer". i had prepared myself for that statement but when he said it i knew he was going to tell me i had it. it was a pretty low moment until he said "but you don't have it" which he said about 10 seconds after the first statement.

He grad. from Vandy so go fig.

Fracture just seems like the wrong word. You fracture bones or see fractures in metal. Usually with tissue, you see ruptures or tears.
