Malkin makes the same amount in the NHL as Radulov and turned down a deal worth twice as much from the KHL.
(Malkin was offered 12.5 million by a KHL team for 5 years...he went to the Ray Shero, told him he wanted to stay in Pittsburgh and they hammered out a deal that will pay him half of that...but doesn't kick in until 2009-10...which means Malkin decided that he would rather play for 1/13 pay in Pittsburgh than bail on his contract to play in Russia...even when there's a chance he could have a career ending injury and never see a dime of the money from his new contract).
Of course, they are leagues apart in both ability and - as this shows - class.
Time to start pulling the numbers off the Radulov jersey.
