Yeah, but the way it happened was absolutely horrible. They got the call right initially, but then allowed themselves to be influenced by the crowd, the opposing manager, the bullpen etc. The worst part of it is that the foul pole at RFK stadium isn't even directly on the foul line. Whoever heard of that????

I keep holding out hope that a guy with 70 saves the last 2 years will get it back, but I'm afraid Kolb is a head case. Braves may have to part with a prospect to get some bullpen help.

You keep telling yourself that. Just remeber that july and august are his best months, always has been in his carrer. So tell me why a man batting .390 and leads the league in every tripple crown satistic won't win????

Lee has to cool off pretty soon. Maybe he finishes with a batting average around in the low .300s, but no way he can maintain this pace. The guy has never even hit over .282 before.

He won't even be an honorable mention. It may now be "bullpen by commitee." Always seems that when the Braves think they have a very reliever, they wear him out. Kolb just doesn't seem to have it right now. Don't use him as often. Currently 1-5 and that really sucks big time. Still think the Marlins are their biggest competitors this season. Nats will possibly be a 3rd or 4th place team. They have better players than they had when they were in Montreal.
Sure hope the Nats can beat the Marlins like they just did the Braves. Braves need a couple of 7 game win streaks during the month of June. Maybe we'll have an idea of what things will look like by mid July-after the All-Star break. Think the Braves usually do better after the break. They need at least 3 18 game winners.

The Braves lost 6-4 tonight. I got to see this one in person. Tough loss, but it was fun to get to Turner Field.

So I just don't see the braves makeing it to the playoffs for the first time in a long time unless they get healthy real fast.
