More people care about MMA (I dont) in this country right now than will ever care about soccer.

| Look guys I have been hearing from soccer geeks for years now talking about the same tired old excuse of why soccer is not popular here. US fans dont get it or understand blah blah blah. How the youth movement is going to bring soccer to the forefront of US sports. How the rest of the world likes it etc... But the fact is if you have a product you want to get it into the US. That's where the money is. But the problem is that we in this country actually like action and good entertainment. Face it, soccer sux.

They were all but GIVING tickets away the last time the World Cup was in the US. I was in San Antonio (huge hispanic population and a city where they were playing some of the games) for business and there were empty seats all over the joint. I saw the news reports that were stating how disapointing the ticket sales were.
You, I and everyone else on this site knows soccer is nowhere near as popular as a "niche" sport like MMA. I used MMA as an example of how the market is NOT saturated if it is what the consumer wants. You are the one living a lie. America hates soccer. A few soccer geeks like it but that number is low.

As far as PPV, I don't pay to watch football either... so? |

| So if I were in Europe I could use all the same assertions you make about soccer against football and it would work. Does that mean Football sucks? Of course not. |
