He might be your hero but I couldn't disagree more about his actions. That whole maneuver looked very "sissy-ish" and adds to the stereotype that many Americans view soccer with. |

You're right though, it's not hard to predict the correct sideto go to but a well struck shot is almost impossible to save. I taken many and it usually took a mistake by the kicker for me to stop them. Quote:

To me its very similar to a kicker trying a game winning field goal. Not the way you'd like to win the game, but its exciting either way. |

You can't keep having overtime because with three subs people aren't going to be able to walk... Also, the longer you go, the harder it is to shoot.

I actually think penalties are very exciting, just not a great indicator of who is better.
