| not necessarily hatred for Italy, but they did just win the last World Cup, and i'd like to see someone else win it this time. also, pretty much all the italian players play for teams in serie a, which i never see, so they don't really have any individual players i especially like. |

| If you are a soccer fan and you are not watching the Turkey-Croatia game, you will be kicking yourself later. Amazing. |

| absolutely unbelievable!!! germany had better hope they have a 3 or 4 goal lead going into the final 5 minutes against turkey, because that seems like about the only way anyone is going to beat them. turkey should be counting their blessings right now, they caught a major break that the ref played that much stoppage time for a 15 minute OT. their goalie redeemed himself a little bit in the shootout, but WHAT IN THE WORLD WAS HE DOING going after the ball like that?? that was one of the most boneheaded things i've ever seen a goalie do. |

| As I watch these Euro2008 matches, I find myself thankful that ESPN/ABC are using old, British/Scottish/Irish/Aussie announcers. I know there are plenty of Americans who are capable, but when it comes to soccer, I've always found them annoying. The two calling the Dutch/Russian game today are great to listen to.
