interesting night last night in college hoops

A&M put the beat down on TX.

KSU beat KU for the first time in manhattan, well, in my lifetime.

Pitt beat Nova in an ugly ball game that Pitt HAD to win.

Cincy gets Bobby in Morgantown (i was hoping that would NOT happen)

ARK makes St. look bad.

of all those, only 1 road team won. it just goes to show in conf. play, for most teams anyway, home court matters. winning on the road in conference play should not be taken for granted, or overlooked when reviewing the schedule at season's end. makes me feel even better about us beating Bama Tuesday night...

road wins over even an unranked team are not to be overlooked.

Texas getting drilled by us was not a problem for the confrence. Losing the #2 spot is far worse. Those hippies from austin were over-rated and they finally got exposed. Deny Augustin, keep a hand in his face if he shoots, and out rebound the posts. That is all it took.

Texas is a mystery. They could easily get bounced in the first round, but if they get hot, even with a short bench, I wouldn't be surprised to see them make a legitimate run to the Elite 8. Augustin is incredible and Abrams is pretty good also, it's just going to depend on how well those 2 play come March.

memo to Texas fans:

A simple triangle and 2 will beat you.

A box and 1 (with movement) will embarrass you.

You guys are incredible that think that t.u. is elite 8 material! Why, cause they beat the Vols? So did Billy Gillispie and no one is shouting about their title run. Gimme a break, we punked them and exposed their dependancy on two gaurds.

you have anybody on your team better than Damion James? They're a bit more than a couple of guards. James is a bad motor scooter.

ummmm yeah. aTm has some gaurds that are better. I mean James had these stunning stats from the rival game:

1 for 6 fgs
0-fer in the three pointers
2 free throws for a grand total of 4 points in 25 minutes
7 total rebounds
and ZERO, assists, blocks or steals.

He is truly dominate dont you think??

that's part of why you won. he had a rough night, but I take him over anyone in the A&M lineup. The guys leave the conference that are supposed to after this season and he will be one of the best remaining.

I figured it out, you play seasons on all your basketball video games, and at some point you started thinking it was reality? That would certainly explain a lot.

Thank you emain. Bleedorange's comment merits no response as it is blatently uninformed, and child like. Good day, and have fun with NCAA Basketball 99 on your PS1.

never played basketball video games but i am sure A&M is terrible on those too. acie law is the only exception to mediocrity at A&M. you will always be number two behind the real texas team. kind of like memphis here
