| Tiger and Phil back in action The PGA season begins today for me. Watching grass grow is more exciting than watching DJ Trahan make a sunday run. I need to see the big boys out there before I can sit and watch a tourney.
So today is a good day for me. Tiger goes off at noon eastern. Live coverage can be seen at pgatour.com starting at noon as well. Then at 3pm Kelly Tilghman returns to the airways.
Hooray golf! |

| Saw last night that Phil is battling some sort of illness, a viral infection or something, still plans on playing but sounds like he might not be up to snuff. I'm excited about the new season as well, can't wait til they roll into Augusta.

| By the way, what exactly did Tilgmman say using the word " lynch " that netted her a 2 week vacation ?....I wasn't aware of any of this until a couple of days ago and do not know any details.

Hooray golf! | guess I'm just a junkie, but I love watching guys like Trahan battle guys like Leonard. Guess I'm odd, but I go to the tournaments to pretty much hang out at the practice areas (range, bunkers, greens) to watch guys hit balls and see what they're working on.
Pretty much says it all, huh? I'm a junkie. |

Kelly went with the bit and said, 'Yeah, they could take in some back alley and lynch him'....... And a storm was born. |

| ......Thanks, I'm sure there wasn't anything malicious intended but certaintly in this age the outcome of that statement wasn't going to be good.

| on a side note, let this Kelly thing die. The only thing worse than racism is people who continue to make people suffer over accidents that aren't racial in their meaning. It was a mistake, Kelly apologized, Tiger accepted and moved on. He knows it was the wrong to say, but he also knows Kelly understands that. Letting it fester and continue to make stories over it are far worse than what was initially said. Golfweek and now Jim Brown should be ashamed of themselves.
Edit: I definitely want to add ESPN into the ashamed of themselves mix as well. I'd almost place a $1000 dollar wager that ESPN knew if they interviewed Jim Brown on the subject he would go off like he did.

That's true and I'm certainly not a fan of his and he has without a doubt shown the tendency to wilt and nosedive down the stretch but I'll say this for him, he has the ability to go low when he's hot.
