I picked FAU over Memphis. The only factor in my decision was Howard.

He was just on College Football Live today. Great interview. Really have to admire what he's done with FAU.

While I have always loathed the U football program, I have always admired Howard Schnellenberger. He is the epitomy of a football coach in the vein of Rockne, Bryant, Lombardi and a precious few others. In an interview with a tv reporter from Memphis regarding the bowl game tonight, he was asked the question I'm sure he is getting sick of "what's the difference coaching FAU and Miami or Oklahoma?" His response "It's one thing to try to revive a viable program and quite another to breathe life into a brand new one" was vintage Schnellenberger and it made me smile when I heard that.

That's how a coach should represent himself.

Phil should wear an orange jacket, an orange and white plaid shirt, with a white tie.

Holy mother of pearl. I think that could warp the space and time continuum of the universe and jeopardise life as we know it on this planet.

Two observations from the game tonight:
1. There will not be a better story all bowl season than FAU.
2. Stacey Dales could get me to rethink my philosophy on marriage.

I agree with number two 100%
