The News & Observer of Raleigh reported that Spurrier was seen shaking hands with the AD as they left Duke's primary athletic facility at around 3:20 p.m.

| Duke's program is a bigger rebuilding job then the one he already has. they have no football tradition there. Its a basketball school.

| Personally I think it's gettign time for the old ball coach to either go to a top shelf program or just go home and play golf. He doesn't seem to have that "it" anymore that makes players want to play 150% for him. He needs to go where talent goes regularly or go home.

| I could see it as one of those moves a senior professional makes because it makes them happy. Money and "proving" anything are not issues Spurrier has to worry about. |
