A little hard to believe that a guy could get let go, mid-season, as a coordinator...and get a head coaching job 2 years later after only working as a position coach for an average football team.

That said, good for Randy if it's true.

He "stepped down" after the South Carolina game in 2005.

I'm pretty sure that Sanders stayed on as QB coach but was relieved of the play calling responsibilities and did not leave until the end of the year.

that's more along the lines of what I thought. I thought after the SC game, all calls went through Fulmer, but Sanders stayed on.

That is what happened. You may remember the offense got even worse after that.
