Friday Preview

Another good day of hoops. There are several interesting matchups on the slate. South Carolina gets a shot at proving they are improved against NC State. Villnanova and George Mason will make for an interesting contrast in styles. Louisville-BYU in Las Vegas has potential. Old Dominion has a history of playing the power programs tough. Tonight, they get a swing at UNC. Mississippi State has an opportunity to pick up a quality nonconference win against Southern Illinois. OJ Mayo and Co. get to face defensive genius Charlie Coles' Miami squad. Texas Tech and Gonzaga meet for the first time since the Red Raiders bounced the 'Zags out of the NCAA Tournament in '05. Last but never least, Tennessee and West Virginia will give us our first look at the Vols against quality competition.

Hat it still blows my mind that Miami has not had a strong Bball team considering the talent in Fla. and their ability to recruit great players. I am sure Miami has plenty of great players in that area.

If Miami could keep the best talent in the 305 and the 954 at home, they'd be a regular participant in the Final Four.
