I'm not going to pretend to know anything about either program, but I just ran across that game on ESPNU and was wondering what in the world Oregon is doing playing an away game at St. Mary's at this point in the season.

St. Mary's is a good program. Randy Bennet is one of the best unheralded coaches in America. With the RPI giving you more credit for road games, playing a team like St. Mary's on the road isn't a bad idea. The tournament committee will give you credit if you win and won't kill you for losing. It's a good test.

Ah, RPI -- obviously I wasn't thinking.

Good for St. Mary's. When this game came on after the MD/Mizzou game earlier, I had to look them up to see where the campus was. That's the kind of win that will make more people know about you, that's for sure.

They've been on the cusp of breaking through for a few years now. It's just tough to get past Gonzaga in the WCC.

Kent sure looks like a mediocre coach a lot of the time.

That's because he is a mediocre coach.

How did this Mills kid get away from a big time college program?

He's Australian. Not a lot of power programs do a good job of scouting internationally.

Yep. You tend to see more international flavor in the WCC.
