You are the guru when it comes to college basketball. Interesting article on SI's site about kids signing letters of intent. Thoughts (from anyone)?

Davis is 100% correct. The NLOI is essentially a contract of adhesion. There is absolutely no reason for an elite prospect to ever sign one of those ridiculous documents.

I gather from the article that a lot of them just don't realize that they are not required to do it. To be honest, I didn't even know that until now. Just so used to seeing it.

It bothers me as well that the NCAA is now sending them out and collecting them, but taking the position that its not an NCAA-sponsored or sanctioned mechanism. Try telling that to the 18 year old that gets one in the mail in an envelope with NCAA written on it.
