Jimmy Clausen down to 3 chances to win N/C now

Notre Dame College Football Recruiting - Jimmy Clausen - NotreDameTickets.com

Looks like he would have had a better chance winning a n/c at UT this year. I saw a poll last night where 76% of the voters said Weis should be in the hot seat. I wish Clasuen well I just thought this was somewhat funny."Try to 4 national championships" (yeah right).

I'll never understand why JC is such a big topic on here.

Maybe because both of his brothers were starting QB's at UT.

Just a guess though

he would have had a better chance playing for navy.. than ND .. seriously though expect weiss to be in he hot seat if ND doesnt have a winning record next year. Their schedule is eaiser next year.. (although you will hear the meida and all talk about how tough their schedule is anyhow.. lol)

Notre Dame will probably be preseason number 3 next year like they are every year....Then, the media will hype them up to be the best ever, and when they lose to Boston College for the 7th straight year they will make BC to be the next coming of national powerhouses. I wish NBC would drop them, because I get so sick of flipping the channel and seeing that pathetic squad on national tv....I hope they never win another game!

The fact that Clausen announced his college choice at the COLLEGE FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME....arriving in a stretch limo....that should tell you something about him. I too am glad he never showed up on the hill.

You gotta love the comments about Weis coaching OVER the players' heads. I think more people are questioning whether it truly was him who was responsible for Brady & Co.'s abilities at NE. I wonder how much doubt is in Jimmy's head right now. This year doesn't look good on the ol' resume'.

Why are we so focused on ND and start so many threads about ND? We don't play them on a regular basis, they're not a rival of ours, and they're not even in the same region of the counrty as us. I have no feelings towards them one way or the other, but bashing kids like Smith and Jimmy C. or wishing them failure is just immature. The only reason we wish they would fail is because the chose another school over us. And if I remember correctly, after they committed else where the general concenus was Smith was to slow for the SEC although he ran a 4.3-4.4 40 and that Jimmy C. was overrated. So why is there a need to continue to bring up these two players or ND?

That article is funny on several levels - JC citing Weiss as the "biggest" factor in him choosing ND - guess only Mangino at Kansas or Friedgen at MD could have carried more weight in JC's decision! I also had to chuckle at how the article said JC was biggest commitment since Ron Powlus - guess we all know how well that turned out!

I admit I did want Harrison Smith to come to Knoxville, and still do....But, I cant blame a catholic kid choosing to go to a catholic collge with better academics....Jimmy C on the other hand, I for one was so thankful when he didnt come here...And, yes he was overated...Have you looked at his stats? He was 19 years old in high school is one of the reason for all his TD passes..His parents held him back a year hoping that he would develop even more. My reason for hating Notre Dame is simple, when I was growing up all I ever heard about was ND...The media made it out like they were the only football team in America, (well besides Alabama people who know that Bear Bryant invented the game of football). You cant go anywhere without hearing their fight song, or seeing the little lucky charms dude...So YES I do hope they lose out and continue to lose, I wish for longtime failure on that program....They are way overdue...

Side Note...Charlie was winning with Ty's players, we are seeing his coaching mystique now!

I can see where you come from but for me I just don't care that much about any team outside the SEC. I can see post being made about Ala, Fla, and Ga but a team we rarely play... I don't see the point. I guess I look at as if I don't think about them or acknowledge them maybe they will go away...wishful thinking I know.
