| Breaking News: Lawsuit filed against Reggie Bush. A Lawsuit was filed against Reggie Bush and his family, for never paying back money he recieved at USC.
Waiting for more info. This could lead to something pretty big in College Football. |

| very interesting. These are some serious allegations. If they can somehow connect it to a USC booster or person in the school it could be a even bigger deal.

| I doubt it. Most accounts I've seen say that Lloyd Lake, at the time he allegedly provided the Bush family with any benefits, was being convicted for extortion. IIRC, Lake's ties to the Bush family were through another family member in the SD area, and has no ties at all to USC.
It's far more likely that the guy was just some d-bag trying to come up with a sleazy way to cash in on Bush's would-be fame. Not somebody with any ties to the university.
Now, what the punishment will be is the question. How I see it going down is Bush's family getting caught for receiving illegal benefits, while USC had no knowledge or part in it. Do you penalize USC? Do you take away the national championship?
I know most people on here are okay with that because they hate USC for no apparent reason, but I have a hard time taking it past the point of stripping Bush of individual awards and records.

| That case was easy, though. Rhett Bomar and that offensive linemen were being directly paid by known associates of the university.
I can't put that criminal element out of my mind in Bush's case, and I also have a hard time seeing the NCAA punishing USC in any severe way without proof that they knew Bush's family was receiving that money. In retrospect, I'm not really concerned with forfeiting games, people know who did what those years. Cutting scholarships could be taking it too far, however.
All in all, I know there is a distinct possibility that USC did know about this going on, in which case I'd be all for the university getting whatever punishment it deserved.
