| Deplorable. I am not exactly a nationalist, but you'd think even the most idiotic, jingoistic lout would get it through his head that you HAVE to behave respectfully towards the guys in the service academies. They're different from everybody else playing college football.
The sad thing is that if 9/11 were to happen today, these would be the same guys shouting to glass over the Middle East, kill em all and let God sort em out, USA USA. And then they'd go to a game and chant "fsck you, Navy" at the same guys that were going to go and fight on their behalf. I don't know which amazes me more, human stupidty or the fact that it continues to amaze me. |
