| SEC vs. Big 10: Forde's got a good idea ESPN - Forde: SEC is college football's king - Columnist
I think Pat Forde's got a pretty good finger on the pulse of the college sports world, especially sports in the south. Another good article here. I love the last line. |

| That's a very accurate description.

| The only thing he gets wrong is that affordable microbrewed beer is indeed absolutely vital. A "perk"? Bah. |

| I still love Les Miles comments, even though LSU, one of the juggernauts of the SEC, barely managed to stop two very mediocre teams from the "Puss-10" in '04 and '05.
Sounds like Miles, in all his coaching brilliance, needs to reconsider before he tries to make another early excuse as to why he's not going to win the SEC. He's not saying this crap for conference pride. He's preparing a cop-out for when his season is done while USC is in a BCS game. Maybe he should have gotten those convincing wins over those two 7-5 Pac-10 powerhouses. They couldn't even stay on the same field in the SEC, right? Oh, wait... They did.
That said, there's just a few things that don't seem to make sense. The SEC is the best college football conference out there, nobody will debate that. But it seems like a lot of SEC fans out there need their egos massaged every five minutes. Quit being such divas. I do mainly deal on the internet, though, so I suppose humility is a rare commodity.

| How 4D got a job with ESPN is beyond me. He does have his finger on the pulse, but he´s from Louisville, and always took the chance to bash the Cats when he ¨wrote¨ for the Curious Urinal.

| Same can be said for all ESPN college football analysts. Like I've always said, though, if you're that knowledgable about college football, you work in Las Vegas, not Connecticut. Bruce Feldman is their only writer whose stuff I consistently enjoy reading.

Very versatile, illuminating, and usually adds some intriguing humor to his pieces. |
