Who will win the National Championship in 07?

Just wondering what you guys think this time of year.

My guess, USC will play West Virginia and USC will blow them out.

I had to put Tennessee for all the homers out there.

i think USC will be tough again this year.

WVU has probably the easeiest road.

but don't count out L'ville....they could give WVU a run for the money again...

USC will not go winless through the 9 game Pac-10 schedule. Nearly every other team in the Pac-10 is good, but none except USC are on that Michigan, Texas, LSU, Ohio State, Florida, etc. level. You string nine such games together, though, and USC will not make it unscathed through the conference. Possible for another split title with a Rose Bowl appearance.

That said, I obviously don't see USC as invincible as everyone else (don't forget road dates with Nebraska and Notre Dame) making the field wide-open this year. So wide open, in fact, I think we may see a suprise national title team. After Boise State's run last year, there is going to be a little more fluidity atop the polls this year, allowing that undefeated/one-loss team normally found outside of the national title equation, a shot.

My common sense pick to win the whole thing is West Virginia.

The champion of the Big East will get killed by USC in the championship.

If Boise goes undefeated do they have a shot at making the championship game?

They have an excellent shot but they have some tough games against Rutgers and Louisville.

USC will annihilate ND. USC has a pretty good shot at unbeaten, at least compared to most other teams.

USC has way more talent than any other team in the country(Florida is gaining on them) and PC has shown the capability to lead his team. If they can keep the hunger, they will win it. Last year's team didn't have the desire.
