Then make the first, step back and make the second, step back for the third, etc...Use the same stroke each time.
Once you make all six in a row, move to the opposite side of the hole and do it again. I've done this my last few rounds for warming up and I've been putting marginally better. Before I would just drop three balls on the green and start banging puts around. Maybe the routine helps groove a feel and making 6 in a row builds confidence for the day. | do the same starting about 10 feet from the fringe. Try to stop every ball on the fringe. Gets the head thinking about speed and gets away from aiming and hole focus, so the stroke is generally better. Doing that for about 5-10 minutes is pretty good drill. |

| Has anyone ever played at Concord in Chattanooga? It has to be the worst course in the country. |

| Today is the semi-final round of our Ladies Club Championship (it is match play,) so I get to ride around and watch my better half beat up on some old woman. Fortunately, the match shouldn't last more than about 12 holes, and there is a high probability that there will be beer on the cart.
Up until this year, providing a supportive gallery was the responsibility of her parents. Marriage changes many things. |

| Wife advances 5&4 (she has won the event all three of the previous times she has entered it.) More interesting than that is the fact that I went out with her and shot a 38 on the front after the match (par 35.) Maybe good golfing is contageous. |

| OK guys...what is the Ryder Cup ticket status? Just realized it falls on Florida weekend.
What is the plan for those going to the cup? Ryder cup Thursday, Friday and Sunday to Knoxville on Saturday? |

| I was playing today and really stinking it up. It was hot and I was ready to head in after my drive on 11 went OB.
I dropped one in the fairway just to practice hitting from the fairway (a rare event for me today). I noticed two dogs were on the green. I hit an 8 iron to the edge of the green. The dogs ran over to it and it looked like one picked it up. They ran off the green to a tree by the next tee and sure enough, I saw the dog drop it out of his mouth!
The laugh I got from it made me forget about how bad I was playing (I didn't play any better afterwards but my mood was way better)
