| who caught the rule? have they said?
i'd imagine she's under a microscope and somebody there was just waiting with a rule book to catch her on something. |

Obviously I wasn't there but . . . chances are, the volunteers manning the scoring tent didn't even realize anything had happened and then somebody recounted what happened to sombody that knew the rules.
I actually witnessed something like this happen at a Nike Tour event where I was in the scorers tent. We realized a guy hadn't signed his card about 30 seconds after he left the tent and there was nothing we could do since there was a rules official right next to me. |

In Wie's case, the LPGA had a signed scorecard and a story that Wie had left the scoring area illegally before coming back and signing the card. They didn't even know there was a problem until Wie was on the course Saturday and they needed to hear Wie's side of the story. They weren't going to stop the entire golf course and hold People's Court for 15 minutes trying to sort things out. |

Even in the sluman situation the waited 3 holes before pulling him out. |

| we're talking about scorecard errors, not playing improperly labeled balls. |
