the rules of the game play no favorites. |

the rules of the game play no favorites. | The rules of golf at time can be subjective. I don't think it's asinine to suggest this at all. |

| I see what you are getting at, but this is a really black and white rule. She left the scoring tent area without signing her card. It wouldn't have mattered if it was Annika Sorenstam, she would have been DQ'd.

| there's stories guys who signed off wrong on their last round of Q School that cost them their tour cards. Michelle Wei, Tiger Woods, Lorena Ochoa; it doesn't matter. all of them would have met the same fate for breaking the rule.
nobody is trying to "punish" her for what has been her childish behavior, which really, is what you would expect from an 18 year old. as she becomes more mature, she'll figure it out. i though she was very contrite in her comments. |

| I didn't say that they would not disqualify another player...but they did let her play through the 3rd round. I'm suggesting that perhaps this would not have happened with another player. |

| they couldn't stop in the middle of the 3rd round while she figured out exactly what her actions were after the 2nd round. they have to keep action moving on the course. |

The LPGA had no idea that there was a problem since they were looking at a signed scorecard. It didn't come to light until Saturday that she had signed the card only after leaving the scoring area and coming back. Since she was already on the course, they waited until she completed her round to hear her side of the story before making a ruling. |

you don't think she gets the chance to explain her side of the story? when do you expect them to allow her that opportunity? in the middle of the round? of course not. so they waited. |
