Not bragging, but I feel my irons and their distance are above the normal golfer. Right now I have a club for everything 225 and in and as I told GA once, I have no reason going for the green if I'm further out than that. |

Buddy I play with from the Nationwide tour hits a 1i hybrid from Nickent and will opt for it over his 3 wood pretty often from the tee because he controls it much better. The distances aren't as predictable as irons, but they're good. My experience with them has been similar to his. I like the flight and the length. Caveat: I use an Aldila NV hybrid X (low penetrating flight shaft) in it so I avoid any potential for balloons. |

Probably the lowest I've ever been was a 1.2, but I don't play enough to get remotely close to that level now. Right now I'm a 4.9. If I play with any frequency I can play like a 2 and occasionally scare Par but having a 5 year old and a 6 month old has me to the point where as long as it's quiet and I break 80, I'm perfectly content.

I think I'm more against the 3 and 4 iron hybrids than going to a 1 or 2 iron hybrid. I would take my 3 iron consistency against just about any casual amateur golfer. I get it out to about 210-215 so I'm sure there are some that are longer, but I'm very consistent with it whether I'm in the rough, fairway, uphill, downhill, etc.
Edit: Obviously the 210-215 is on a level fairway, but I'm still good from other parts of the course with it. |

At least if I miss the 3 iron I know where it's going. If I hooked the bejeezue out of one more hybrid, I was going to need therapy. |

The Cobra Baffler Pro might be neutral.
I hit the Bridgestone J33 and I cut it much easier than hook it. My buddy hits the Nickent solely because it's neutral, and I assure you it matters to him. Aldila put some proto shaft in it for him and he hits that thing on the money. He plays a natural draw, but hits that club very straight.
The one I hit is discontinued, but you can get it in the stiff shaft from the big online sites for about 100. Give it a swing. You hate it, PM me and I'll buy it from you. Bridgestone J33. |
