Hiring on a women's coach at over $1.45M, to potentially raise their ticket revenue to $1.3M or $1.4M would be an impossible sell to any Board of Trustees.

I thought they would have tried to go after Pokey Chapman or maybe even Mickey DeMoss

They wouldn't touch Pokey for obvious reasons.

And hiring DeMoss would have required them to pay more than they are willing to pay for a women's basketball coach.

Thye chose to go the cheap route.
